Breastfeeding & tongue tie

I am finding that breastfeeding/chestfeeding parents and those doing combination feeding are requiring more time during appointments and in terms of follow up. So I have revised my pricing structure and appointment times to reflect this.

Frenulotomy (including assessment, feeding support and free email/phone/online follow up for up to 3 weeks after). Important: If for any reason I do not do a tongue-tie division the consultation charge paid a booking will apply to cover the feeding/tongue-tie assessment and feeding support.

• £220 for up to 75 mins for breastfed/combination fed babies
• £240 for up to 90 mins for breastfed/combination fed babies including pump flange fitting
• £200 for up to 60 mins for fully formula fed babies

Breastfeeding/combination feeding consultation in clinic

• £120 for up to 75 mins
• £140 for up to 90 mins including pump flange fitting

Formula feeding consultation in clinic

• £100 for up to 45 mins

Combined feeding, tongue-tie assessment and osteopathic clinic (second Monday of each month) £150 for 90 minute appointment with Sarah Oakley and osteopath Celia Crooke. If a tongue-tie division is required a further £100 is payable making a total of £250.

Breastfeeding assessment and support by video call

•  £75 for up to 45 minutes

Follow up face to face and by video call

• £40 for up to 30 minutes via video call with Sarah Oakley
• £20 for up to 30 minutes via video call with Jo Thompson (Breastfeeding Counsellor)
• Face to face with Sarah Oakley £75 for 45 mins. IMPORTANT: If you are returning to see me more than 6 months since our last appointment you will need to book in for a full feeding assessment appointment again so please come back to me promptly if you have concerns about your baby’s feeding.
• Home visits for follow up support within Cambridgeshire with Jo Thompson and Justine Fieth (Breastfeeding Counsellor) £50.

Second divisions

On the rare occasion that a tongue-tie requires further division then this will be carried out in one of the clinics as part of a follow up consultation.

Pump flange fitting

£50 – A one hour session to look at expressing schedules, pumps and try different flanges to ensure the best fit for efficiency and comfort.

Antenatal Breastfeeding Preparation

£50 for an individual clinic appointment of one hour.

£70 per family for a group session of two hours.

Payment

A deposit is taken at booking via the online booking system for individual consultations. Payment for the balance can be made by cash or by credit/debit card at the end of the appointment. Payments for group workshops are payable in advance at booking.

Deposit and cancellation fees

Unfortunately a small number of clients have continued to cancel appointments at short notice which means that appointments are wasted and other families who could have had those appointments have to wait longer. There is a non refundable deposit of £40 for all appointments. Online and face to face appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice or where a client fails to attend are subject to the full charge for that consultation.
